Does anyone think that the governments (Federal, State and Local) won't try to legislate away Bitcoin? Yes, they may be ignorant, but they do have the government behind them. When they realize there's not a person or corporation behind Bitcoin, they'll go after the users.
Do we really want an anonymous currency? How would that benefit most of us who are law-abiding citizens? Is staying anonymous worth the effort when you don't have something to hide?
