There is a simple reason why PSD to HTML will continue for a long while. The reason is that HTML still sucks ass and can't do half of the things you could do is basic desktop publishing software from 15 years ago.
Sure you -could- do it all with active javascript, but with plain HTML and CSS, there are a ridiculous number of simple desktop designs that you just can't do without jumping through ridiculous crazy fucked up hoops.
Design tools are here to stay, because they are designed for designers. Why don't people get this.

Ever wondered why youtube videos seems to work for shit over some connections that are rated at a high throughput on speed tests? Yep... data discrimination in action. Especially on providers that also provide television? Hmmm... I wonder why a tv provider would want to slow down youtube. Duh.
Also, for those who think net neutrality is a good thing; grow up. It is a good thing. Some thing actually -are- more important than others. I would prefer that I can actually get regular html pages at high speed while some dumbass is streaming a 4k video of some random off joke on the work connection. I realize this is just a local network example, but it ties all the way to the globe if you think about it for a bit.
The end of net neutrality would be the end of spam. Why? Because if you charge a slight amount for email, it removes spammers ability to send 20 billion of them. They've tried this repeatedly though and it never took on. So long as the internet is a wild west of chaos, there can be no real improvement on the quality of the whole system.

The webpage showing this off is impossible to read without watching animations to get the full content. It is downright obnoxious.
Summary for those who don't want to sift through the reams of PR: It is a set of fitbits that communicate with a device about the size of a tennis ball that is turns communicates with your phone. Instead of just tracking you; you "stick" the things to random stupid things like your toothbrush or fridge.
Why? Because we apparently need to know how many times our obnoxious kids leave the fridge door open, and we want people to base their brushing worth on weather they brushed off their enamel or not.
This reminds me of something my mother said about 1 week ago. She said "Why don't they just make it so your shoes weigh you whenever you are standing up?" That would be more useful than this.
Personally I find people repeating themselves to be obnoxious and demonstrate that they think their crowd is full of people who can't pay attention.
I note how many times speakers repeat points, and it just makes me realize they have very few actual points and should have just said those things and not wasted the rest of my time stating the rest of the filler spilling from their mouths.
Animations? Really? Is this 1997? These don't impress anyone with any technical worth. Give me the content and stop wasting time on glitz.

This reminds me of a lunatic I was talking to in Best Buy some 12 years ago. He claimed that he knew about, was aware of, and involved with a government program/technology where they could plug in a device to a computer and immediately gain access to all current computers at the time.
It was bullshit then, and it is bullshit now. Yes there are such things as side channel timing attacks against secure chips, but it isn't going to work with a fucking usb device plugged in outside of the metal cage that is a pc case.
