I realise they are cutting the deadweight off the platform and can at least appreciate that you get to keep the boards you already have. But when you are using Trello with a small not-for-profit org and the budget for online task management software is $0 then you can see where this is heading. Google Sheets?
We can install some open-source analogue like Wekan or Taiga but that then requires monitoring and updates.
To be fair, if all I have to do is give them my email address for them to get a bunch more money to make something that could either completely fail or revolutionise human computer interaction, sure, please have my email address.

True, but I suspect the deposit of her life savings was more symbolic from the point of view of the Soviet leadership. They saw an opportunity to both facilitate the ambitions of a true believer while promoting the idea that "if she can do it, why can't you?" to rally the troops.
Ultimately she achieved the retribution she desired and she should be remembered for her convictions and ability to follow through.

I have a 2012 Retina 15". The first generation. I spec'd it out at the time hoping for it to last me at least a few years.
From 2015 I've been eyeing off every new release of Macbook Pro thinking "yeah this time I'll upgrade" but then I realise there is actually nothing wrong with my current one. Like, nothing at all.
I realise the battery is going die eventually and software updates will no longer be supported at some point, but for now it really is the best computer I've ever owned.
Note: I've been on all sides of the fence (Amiga/win95->winVista/OSX) so I'm not just a fanboi.
I would hate to be agreeable on the internet but I think you've covered this from an Australian perspective fairly accurately.
Simply removing the capital gains tax discount would help to prevent speculative investments.
There has been much talk of negative gearing being the issue but those with a short memory don't realise it has been around since the 80s and operating with out much fuss. It was the CGT discount combined with negative gearing that really got the property snowball rolling.
Further, I believe a land tax would help to cool the market in perhaps a more controlled manner.
So glad this conversation is being had. I figured me not understanding how the new hype machine works was a function of me getting old and slowly slipping into senility.
