As an Automation Engineer you will work as part of a team responsible for developing automation solutions for Travelers. In this position you will develop and maintain automation infrastructure and scripts, author and maintain documentation for the infrastructure, and work with other engineers to gather requirements for new solutions. A successful Automation Engineer is creative, team-oriented, technology savvy, and driven to produce results. This discipline requires a combination of software development and testing skills.
Qualifications:
• Strong understanding and ability to apply concepts related to computer architecture, data structures and standard programming practices.
• Experience with Enterprise automation and administration tools: BMC Atrium Orchestrator, Microsoft Orchestrator, Microsoft System Center Config Manager, etc
• Experience programming in at least one major scripting language: Python, Perl, etc
• Strong oral and written communication skills are essential.
• Experience developing automated tests and automation infrastructure.
• Experience using more than one OS platform. (Windows, Linux, Solaris, FreeBSD, etc.)
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team of other engineers
I've been developing on the iOS platform for 3 - 4 years working on my own projects and contract work. I have successfully built apps for individuals, small companies, and government contractors.
My specialties include client/server apps, image manipulation, tableview performance, facebook api, foursquare api, and multiple google apis.
I have successfully worked with local companies and remote teams, and am open to either for future projects.

Hartford, CT - Operations Engineer - Full Time - Travelers
You will be a part of a team of Operations Engineers which will be responsible for a growing number of applications and infrastructure in our corporate environment. You know your way around many operating systems, and network devices. You are comfortable working on a Linux Server issue one day, and the next spending it analyzing a network trace. You have a demonstrated history of providing great customer service and root cause analysis. You are comfortable working in a high paced collaborative environment with a small elite team.
Rock, some elctronica, and hip hop would be ideal. I'm more into indie rock, stuff like company of thieves, band of skulls, the hush sound, jack's mannequin, etc. Although I can listen to some electronica like mgmt and can also listen to some hip hop.
