Isn’t aging engineered into an organism? This seems self-evident because rats and humans are made of essentially the same biological stuff, but rats live for 2-3 years (and then die of old age) and humans live for 25x that. Maybe this theory explains how organisms “create” aging. It also implies that aging can be slowed or reversed, and the mechanism for doing that is already present in any organism.
The argument against this is simple. Rats and Humans are both mammals. Yet rats age an order of magnitude faster than humans, and they display precisely the same old age symptoms as they age. A rat is old at 2 or 3, and a human is old at 70 or 80. (Dogs and many other animals are in-between). This strongly indicates that aging is a biologically engineered process, optimized for each species.
That isn't to say there isn't some limit imposed by physics. Just that the limit doesn't appear relevant to what we call aging. The argument some have made below that physics imposes an age limit on a cell makes sense. Physics could impose limits on the lifespan of an organism’s replaceable parts — that could well be why organisms continually need to replace them.
Really impressive results. I put in some music reviews, and it did an excellent job of identifying artists, Genres, labels, etc. From an API perspective,there's not much out there that competes with this - and nothing with a modern API.
Less CSS is a great tool regardless of how you initially craft the CSS because it allows you to express the CSS in a more readable and maintainable way. You can abstract away the various cross-browser complexities and concentrate on what you are doing.
