Very clearly written, though storing files directly in the database (rather than just the filename/path) isn't necessarily the best idea, but I guess it works for them for now..

I saw a link to this company posted on X and wonder if it's authentic (it seems like it). It's a service that apparently listens on your devices for you to say keywords/phrases and sells that information to advertisers - who then target you with ads. Is this legal? It seems to claim it is.. Can anything be done about this? We need stronger privacy laws, it seems.
So this is obviously a big deal.. But I'm imagining a Black Mirror angle.. Will advertisers buy up some of your background space.. and pay for your intimate reaction data? They'll see how you react to everything in incredible detail. Will you be forced to wear these e.g.: while working and this could turn into some kind of surveillance apparatus with the data shared with your employer? Could interviews be done with these on and you'll be evaluated by AI?
Nice work! Wish there was a site that held information on more than just cameras - expanded to all types of electronics, for instance.. seeing all the hardware from a manufacturer over time is so useful for making buying decisions.
dpreview had a great feature which is hard to find elsewhere: You could see at a glance at what date each manufacturer released each model of their hardware. This was so useful because you could then predict when new releases would come out and you'd get a sense of what was the cutting edge. At a glance you'd know which models were the "latest". I will miss this! Making sense of models of hardware from different makers is very time consuming.

I know someone who put a square of gaffer's tape over their Macbook Pro's video camera (in theory to protect their privacy) and one day they lifted up the screen and it was cracked. It seemed like that little bit of tape might have been the culprit.
