That 1st hour and middle hour or two are perfectly safe.

Apparently only the last hour is unsafe on a plane.

Seriously, stop flying people. They have you because you give yourself to them. Just work online, etc. drive otherwise.

Once the airline industry needs bailouts and the TSA have people visibly twiddling their thumbs, suddenly rules are going to become much more reasonable.

Just use 8-bit transparency in your PNGs and it will work fine.

Much easier, no extra code needed and makes smaller images as a plus.

There are many palette reduce utilities available.

If there is prosecution for bad designers, the people who used off-the-shelf unencrypted solutions for a military device in the 21st century should be put in prison. They just cost taxpayers much more money if not actual lives on the ground.

This is the equal of having an open directory on a website and saying it doesn't matter because no-one will know what the domain or ip is. Security-by-obscurity is asinine, someone can always figure out what you've done.

This also strikes me as a great way to insist on more budget money when you've been told you won't get any more money - throw some fear, uncertainty and doubt at it.

I can't help but see the pacman problem as a relational database ;-)

(then apply algorithm to move to that location)

Replace the DB with a matrix of parallel processing elements as tiles and there you go?

It's not a spaceship, it's a very high flying plane that goes 65 miles up.

The shuttle orbits at a minimum of 140 miles, the space station is at 250 miles.

Earth's atmosphere extends to at least 75 miles, even the 1965 Gemini capsules went to 100 miles.

It only puts out half an amp which is not enough for all devices (should do a full 1 amp).

Also, I buy A/C -> USB adapters for less than $1 off ebay.

Maybe we can spend the trillions from fighter jets and pilot training on health care?

The war machine expenditure in the USA is more than EVERY OTHER country on earth COMBINED (and it's deficit spending).

The problem is the war machine is always chomping at the bit to get into a war so they can use their toys. Did you know Japan has a military? And they are protesting against their constitution which prevents them from getting involved in other wars. They WANT to go to war, somewhere, anywhere. It's crazy.

Unless I am missing something, they contradicted themselves.

The graph shows that the recession IS affecting everyone in all the groups equally.

They are all a few percentage higher than last September, but the ratio is the same as last September.

Instead of doing this by age, gender, race and education they should have shown this by TYPE of job.

Then it would be very uneven.

They should do this kind of graph for health care coverage.

This is fantastic.

However can you even imagine a "too many bikes" problem in the USA? My town has many bike lanes but bikes have disappeared from even the college campus at an alarming rate as students come in as freshmen with daddy's SUV instead.
