The entire Apple's New Market section is muddled. Apple will "leave smartphones behind" for "foundational services" which are accessed...through a smartphone.
Bing is just on Siri and Spotlight in Yosemite. All versions of Safari still default to Google. In fact that default deal will end soon, and Bing and Yahoo want to replace Google as the default.
Its turned into shorthand for "seeing objects in space that aren't really there". They could have also gone with "compugraphic hallucinations" or "pink elephant computing".
Skeuomorphic UI design makes a comeback ;) Ironic that after they push for flat UI that this device is going back to 3-D UI (obviously 3-D is the whole point).
It might look bad if light sources of the rendered objects are not consistent with your surroundings.
It seems unlikely that how charitable the company or person you're buying from would have a meaningful impact on consumer decisions. If that were so Newman's Own or similar companies would dominate over other food brands.
CBS, Turner, Weather Co, Comcast NBC, and Gannett are all solidly old media. NBC and CBS got started with radio broadcasts in the 20s! Who says old media can't adapt?

It wouldn't cost much to hire some recent illustration or design school grads and have them do nothing but test the Surface all day and give feature and usability suggestions. Asking a busy person like the Penny Arcade artist to offer suggestions right before the ship date, and then use his suggestions in post-ship date fixes is just half assed.
If only the press and twitter got as worked up about the multi year wage fixing lawsuit that may or may not go to trial rather than these little gaffes and gotcha moments
