I've been playing with EverNote now (first project) and it seems to be working pretty well - scan in (or photograph) sketches, type out notes, whatever, and it keeps everything together, organized by category, searchable, etc.
I'm a web developer by trade, and even my startups generally at least begin with a wordpress install. I don't agree with their reasoning, but I find it lets me concentrate on other aspects of the startup rather than getting hung up on the design.
In what world does a product that generates $10k/mo have a lifetime value of $400k? I'd think if a business was attractive enough to be purchased they would expect more than a 40 month lifespan.
