They seriously need to rework the visuals of the status page:

It's bad UI design at best, and deceiving at worst.
Also, even with a clear, honest red icon it's still heavily tilted towards showing greens, since only the current day is visible.
I think something like this is more honest: https://basecamp.com/uptime
(obviously would need tailoring since AWS run multiple services)
