I'm currently a backend developer/devops engineer. I've been in my current role for 2.5 years (total of 5 years professional work experience), and I cannot stand the idea of doing this forever. I used to be very passionate about coding, but now I've lost my enthusiasm and interest. There's no joy in it anymore. I don't dread going in - it's not high stress - but it doesn't interest me. Even when faced with challenging problems, I have no interest in solving them.
I have a strong desire to get out my chair and create things by hand and to travel. I recognize that coding can be a creative activity.
