Thanks! (I'm representing the author of the piece) - there's most certainly a lot more depth to how the brain tackles all this chemical activity, but we thought a simplified explanation would be the most useful for people to try and solve the problem.

I would wait until I was in the "zone" before starting work on a personal project or tackling a big task at work. Now, I can recognize when I'm doing that and subsequently avoid it.
