Ask HN: New social network dedicated to job/life. Feedback?
Hi guys, we are a small new startup based in Milan, Italy. Sincerely we discovered HN just one week ago and after having followed it as readers, now we are posting for the first time. Our startup is a social network that simplify the way to find people you need in your city. We'll be online in few weeks and we are looking for feedback and early adopters to continue to improve our work. You can check our landing page where you can get an invite for Beta testing at jobyourlife.com
Waiting for your comments!
All the best!

I really dig the design. It looks good, but you should put some copy on the "pull down" that explains why I should be using your product, or what I'd be missing out on if I weren't.
In my opinion "To find one's place in this world often it's necessary to create it." isn't very good headline text, it should be below in a blockquote or something. Put something in the headline that helps me understand what your product does, as well as jumps out and smacks me in the face.
Other than that though, great job! Signing up for beta right now. Good luck with it guys!

Some more polish would be appropriate, this looks very much like an early alpha, not a beta. At least don't let the errors, warnings and notices show directly on the (front!) page.
I mean: coming into your front page, and seeing three PHP notices displayed right off the bat, is a huge turnoff. Even if the service is actually wonderful, some users may be scared away by such first impression ("what else is broken?").

Thank you very much for your feedback!!! We'll fix it soon!
I suspect this would only show up if the request's Accept-Language is not "it" or "en" - see also http://www.codinghorror.com/blog/2008/03/whats-wrong-with-tu...
Anyway, signed up for the beta; thanks for the quick response :)

I got an error saying the email address wasn't valid (it was a normal gmail address). It let me submit it anyway though.
Cool stuff, I'm digging the splash page. Looking forward to the beta invite to check it out. Keep up the great work!
The design is great, though I'm still kind of confused as to what it does.
I've signed up, awaiting an invite!

Hi james! Jobyourlife is based on a different conception of work according to the theories of Richard Donkin (http://www.richarddonkin.com): we are not just our curriculum vitae but everything we are able to do in life. We'll wait for your feedback once we'll be online. Thanks!
