Non-walking commutes are a downhill slope, but offices that look like bullpens suck also. In a knowledge business the work environment has to provide peace and quiet, not a playpen.
Nah, it's the office politics for many people. (I won't say most, but...). The commute sucks too, but it's not the only thing keeping people away.
