Hardly a vitalik fan but this clumsily juvenile response is out of character for a guy who usually acts like he's above middle school verbal taunts otherwise so typical of twitter, especially crypto twitter.

In response to Paul Graham’s cryptic tweet: “A person I have known for more than ten years, who I consider trustworthy, is convinced the cryptocurrency economy will shortly experience a systemic risk. I don’t know anything concrete, but if I were exposed, I would be concerned.”
I presume its a reference to tether, that'd be a big systemic risk that has looked shaky.
I have no skin in the crypto game btw, so I'm not reacting to that. It's just that someone who claims to be a financial expert should know better than to make this kind of statement.
