Ask HN: Which open source Android keyboard do you recommned

apparently there are not many good alternatives.I obviously have tried few popular that come up when you search for "open-source android keyboards" but asking here just in case I missed some.

No swipe typing is a deal breaker for me. I am very much used to Gboard swipe

I use the play store version of Simple Keyboard https://github.com/rkkr/simple-keyboard. It doesn't have swype, but for what it does have, it consistently just works; and it only has the vibrate permission, so it can't do very much (not even use the internet, which doesn't need a prompt, but does need a permission in the manifest)

I use OpenBoard, installed from F-Droid. It's lightweight and doesn't leak your data.

Unfortunately, it doesn't have swipe but I decided to prefere a data protection friendly tool. I'm not sure if you can have both at the same time.

Is there a problem with using GBoard, but blocking its internet access with NetGuard?
