It might not be so much censorship as it is competing with other articles that for whatever reason rise up the ranks quicker.
I don't know if it's corrupt or not but I advocated a no-vote tagged-based stream system whereby article of interest to you will be seen and not fall off the stream as quickly.

They don't give examples of links that were wrongly "censored", so we cannot tell whether they really were wrongly censored, or whether they were flagged for being off-topic or spam, or whether they merely weren't interesting enough to be upvoted.
