Didn't they get the memo? You're supposed to add more cores now instead of clockspeed.

Compared to the dual-core 5 GHz Power6, yes, I think they got the memo.

What, eight cores isn't enough?

They're really pulling out the stops on POWER. It's going to be interesting to see how well Itanium stacks up (if at all).
