Deeply reminiscent of the gameplay of Superliminal, which is a great 4-6 hour game I really enjoyed: https://www.epicgames.com/store/en-US/product/superliminal/h...
Reminds me a bit of the game Portal. And perhaps someone with the right imagination could make this work in mixed reality?
I had the same thought. This would be the sort of weird game mechanic the could introduce in a Portal 3.

you could've just linked to the tweet from the developer containing the youtube video instead of an ad filled blog
