Should probably fact check this before publishing, but the lockdown was rumored ahead of time on wechat. They didn't enforce it for like 8 hours. That's why there were lots of people who managed to flee Wuhan. That's a well-known fact.

You can indeed open a bank account in China with Chinese passport or even with a foreign passport. There are lots of limitations without the National ID, but do not spread false information if you are not well informed.
Eurostar is definitely convenient. Took from London to Paris and return a couple of years ago. 2 hours from downtown to downtown. Much less time for ground transportation or check-in or anything like that than taking a flight. Personally prefer this than flying between London/Paris.
Don't expect to get an answer. I had an issue as well, hasn't been resolved after 3 months. Their phone support is even a bigger joke. 2 hours of waiting and no answer then they just hang you up.
