It's not just the date picker in Safari. iOS in general... I don't get it why I need to uninstall and reinstall an app from the app store when I want to clean the app's data like I can easily do on Android. Why is there no way to clean caches? Instead a big chunck of the storage is filled with "other system files". And the keyboard is so error prone as well, I always do spelling mistakes or need hours to type short texts. At least it's just my work phone...
You can use the "Online-Personalausweis" for quite some things actually. For example to authenticate at banks, so you don't have to do Video-Ident. Or to do taxes etc. I wrote a post about it earlier this year: https://b.jlel.se/s/59c
My blog (jlelse.blog) is absolutely worth it for me for the following reasons:
1. I enjoy sharing things with the world.
2. I got to know a lot of people who wrote me mails because I posted something. Some really nice connections with people from all over the world.
3. I learned a new programming language by developing my own blog software.
4. In job interviews I can tell about developing my own blog software with new technologies.
But I just post when I want to and what I want to. That can range from tutorials to just a casual images I took when walking through my neighborhood.
But there are already train routes with >6 hours in Germany. I sometimes take the train from Berlin to Basel (CH) from just a few stops away from Berlin and when there are no problems that's a 6 hour trip. With the car that would be >7 hours.
I'm using SQLite for my blogging engine (https://goblog.app). Easy backups, easy testing, light resource usage and probably faster than a separate database.
I am very happy with my S10 Lite as well, also received Android 12 recently. With some PC software it's possible to uninstall Bixby and the other bloatware even without rooting.
