EXO Labs are doing interesting things with LLM clusters on commodity hardware. I'd quite like to plug my MacBook next to my iPad and get the extra local AI oomph.
The ads will just become either bulk misinformation or carefully worded data points that nudge the AI towards a more favourable view of the product being sold.

Years ago the motoring media was very excited by the idea that electric cars could have a shared “skateboard” and then a coach-built body on top. Surely this DeLorean would be an excellent application of this - standard platform plus shiny bodywork and fancy doors! Why do they want to build a whole platform from scratch just to cash in on the nostalgia?
Whichever "boring" technology you're most familiar/fastest/productive with. It rarely matters. Don't waste time learning a new language/platform when you should be testing the idea itself as quickly as possible.
