I don't read that the same way you do. SQLite is the name of the software being discussed; it's an essential part of the title.

By contrast, imagine the write up was hosted on Medium and the page title was "Medium | SQLite's Defense Against the Dark Arts"

In that case, removing "Medium | " would be desirable.

It’s not really part of the actual title as shown in the doc so it seems less than essential.
