I'm sorry but if someone is trying to get a job with the title, "Software Engineer" in it and they cannot do a nested for loop (the slow O^2 solution) I don't know what to tell you other than that person is not fit for the job.
I just interviewed a developer for a senior level front end position and they couldn't print a 2d array to the console. They apparently worked on a large web application and wrote typescript everyday.
What I've known for years, I'm finally seeing first hand: There are way too many people out there that should never have been engineers in the first place.
This is a rebalancing. Those who are competent will always be hired. Those who are are not, the jig is up.
* Quitting daily/consistent Marijuana smoking. It's a wonderful substance but consistent usage will absolutely affect your sleep and leave you groggy the next day.
* Weight lifting 5 times a week.
* Paul Stamets microdose stack (3 days on, 2 days off).
* Big mushroom trip once a month to reset preconceived notions, negative patterns.
* While Product and Project management set silly deadlines, I still work at my daily pace and forget they exist. If we miss the deadline so what? Hitting it doesn't affect if I keep my job or not (large corporation).
The point is that the ultra wealthy are going to corporatize farmland and the basic building blocks of food generation.
Soon you won't even be able to go to a local farmer to get fresh produce or meat (because meat is murder! /s). You'll only be able to get food on their terms, similar to healthy food deserts in cities that we see directly affect the health of inner city populations.
Post-Covid I see the following every single time I step outside.
- stop signs are optional
- gas powered mopeds in the bicycle lanes
- e-bike Citi bikers being riding recklessly
- bicycles on the sidewalks
- NYPD nowhere to be seen.
