Anyone using AI tools should assume that at least 20% of what it produces will be wrong: Missing details, inventing things, basic mistakes.
Use AI if being 80% right quickly is fine. Otherwise if you have to do the analysis anyway because accuracy is critical, there's little point to the AI - its too unreliable.

When Tassie dams get low, they import power from the mainland. It’s a common seasonal thing. Drought + Basslink outage had the gov buying and running diesel gen at huge cost to keep the grid running. The Basslink outage made a problem a crisis.
You also have to factor in how terrible post-doc pay and job security is, just to have a shot at getting on the tenure track. In the US it's half of that 80k number in bio research.
This has been clear for a while. The real challenge for grid operators at the moment is system security - we need sufficient storage to ensure that supply and demand are consistently balanced.

My understanding of the FCAS market is that it is quite shallow, and while there is indeed a first mover advantage that Hornsdale (Tesla battery in SA) has capitalised on, if all the other battery projects in Australia go ahead, they'll probably collapse the price.

Except if you cared about money, it is far easier to sell out and take the money from the industry groups who want to fund research to throw the science into doubt.
Flow hive is a cool idea, but its expensive, and a lot of people bought it because they thought it automated beekeeping whilst in reality the majority of the work in keeping a hive is maintenance, inspections, etc.
I already purchase my hives as pieces of wood that I have to assemble, glue/nail together, paint, etc and I know that the measurements for things like the bee space are correct so the bees won't gum it up. Always neat to see these DIY projects, but I feel like pre-cut is about as much as I trust my ability to measure and construct precisely.
Do people keep A. cerana in Hong Kong in a domesticated fashion? The impression I had was that they were much less attractive than A. mellifera because their hives are much smaller, they swarm more easily, and they produce less honey. Also, since you can purchase strains of A. mellifera that have been bred for good temperament, I wonder how A. cerana compares in that department.
The issue is how many researchers want to spend their time replicating the research of other people rather than doing their own original work. Getting funding is already incredibly hard, plus no-one is going to give you tenure or promote you for replicating the work of others.
