My first and only Waymo ride was super sketch. Car slowed down to ~5mph in a 35mph zone and stayed that way for 5+ minutes as other cars were swerving around us. Felt like it was going to come to a complete stop in the middle of the road, I prefer real humans.
Having worked in the space I have real doubts about that. Right now Claude and other top models already do a decent job at e.g. "generate OCR from this document". But as mentioned there are serious failure modes, it's non-deterministic, and especially cost-prohibitive at scale.

On a similar note, I've wondered why Amazon doesn't make a chatgpt-like app with their latest Alexa+ makeover, seems like a missed opportunity. The Alexa app has a feature to talk to the LLM in chat mode, but the overall app is geared towards managing devices.

Same, I've built all my recent api's in Starlette alone and I find it excellent. It's clean, concise, well documented, and you can extend it as needed, supporting small -> very large projects.
Agree, overall ember has felt stable and only improved with age, unfortunately becoming increasingly niche.
At my company I mentioned using it in passing to our cto as we were discussing a project to move our core web app from angular to react, and he laughed saying "maybe if this was 10 years ago!".
About six months ago I was auditing my bank statements and realized I've been paying Adobe ~$40 for the past 5-6 years or so, almost $3,000 for software I very seldom used if at all in recent times. Closed my account, downloaded gimp, and won't be using Adobe in the future.
