A lot of hate and bashing of Firefox here. On my Linux machine (relatively modern desktop) there's no difference in speed between Chrome(Chromium) and Firefox. A lot of people talk about goodies and extensions. I get it, life is easier with some of those but I just don't care. I use it barebones with enhanced tracking protection and it works flawlessly. Don't see many ads, the ones I see are not intrusive.
This is simply not true. Did you walk any US, UK and other first-world countries factories? A lot of them have separate machinist shops with tens or hundreds of machinists who can make pretty much anything given materials and time. Even every other small factory has a machinist shop where all kinds of things are made including whole machines, parts, improvements for existing machines, etc. In my small town there are two small modern machinist shops that can make anything you want. Look around and see if there are any factories or small shops and ask if you can take a look. You would be amazed by locally made high tech you see and what can be done.
I'm not really sure when and where the "we've lost the ability to make things" came from?
It's perfectly fine to ignore 99.999% of those. Whip out a script or an app that does exactly what you need without the bloat if viable.
I subscribe to many newsletters and get loads of offers. I pretty much ignore all of them. Most of those $10/month tools are just clones of something or not useful at all in the trenches so to speak.
I never understood and would like to know more on why people from London or other areas that are not Liverpool and have no connections to Liverpool whatsoever cheer for Liverpool team. I'm kind of local patriot and always cheer for my local club.
