If your concern is specifically about the censorship, then it's not an issue with Kagi, since Yandex is used as one of many sources (and mainly for images afaik)

This has always been the case with Chinese models. Their web ui is a service provided from China, so they are required to censor it, but not the models themselves.
Just like DC5 is often down to the discontent of Chinese users, DC2 is the one serving all Russian and Ukrainian users, so in the more technical Russian-speaking communities "dc2 down" is also a pretty common saying

I see this as an argument against using them/Chinese models all the time, but I don't get it. I totally understand wanting to keep your data private if you're using an LLM for personal chats. But coding? I'm not working for the military, I'd gladly donate my codebase to Chinese labs if that means they can keep releasing 6-months-behind level models for 100x cheaper.
(I understand why OpenAI doesn't want this and would implement protections. I'm talking about people using this as an argument for why you as an end user shouldn't use those services.)
Not gonna argue about the utility of AI, but isn't the statement "AI is not here to help people" completely meaningless? AI itself is not "here" for anything; the problem is big tech doing big tech shit as always, not the current technology they're doing it with.
Isn't that the best part of codecrafters? Being able to just use your own text editor instead of a janky web based one which loses everything you typed on page refresh?
All the results for "e os" are about /e/OS, and that's its full name, so you wouldn't just search for "e". D language is a better example — its just called "D", but searching for that doesn't give results about the language. On the other hand, for "C" and "R" the top results are all about the languages. "Go" is also a pretty bad one, they insist it's not called "golang" but you basically have to search for that to get any useful information.
