You should do this regardless, no watch needed. The only phone notifications that should be turned on are ones that could be urgent. Phone calls, maybe text messages, alarms, and calendar reminders. No email, no social media, no stupid random apps telling you about some discount.
Why does someone always say this about a tech company when they have layoffs, regardless of company size?
465 employees is not that large. Patreon handles millions of transactions. They need support, sales, engineers, etc. If anything I'm surprised they're not well over 1000.

What clients are you using? I use the highest bitrate HDR videos possible. I very rarely have to transcode. 4k TVs are cheap as are 4k streaming devices.
The main case for transcoding is playing a video in a browser that doesn't support the original codec. Everything can handle high bitrate streams now. The one other rare exception is video that's over 100Mbit/s. I've encountered a few that are that high and some streaming boxes can only handle 100Mb.
There are two problems, false positives and changing the LLM's pattern.
It's really easy to have a false positive and false positives can be very harmful if the person using the detector isn't aware of that risk.
It's also very easy to change the pattern of LLM output. You can provide basic prompting that will significantly change the structure of the output. It works well until it doesn't. I've been a Spotify user for at least 15 years (wild to say that). I've discovered a ton of bands I've become a long term fan of.
But also their algorithmic playlists have gotten worse and worse. They overfit user data. They all recommend the same singles over and over and over. I've found they also don't make sense, recommending music that doesn't even belong in the playlist.
I've switched to user created playlists more often than the algo ones, although a lot of user playlists are just saved copies of Spotify generated recommendations.
Besides a mix of older Pixels and other phones, in the past few years I went OnePlus 8, Pixel 8 Pro, and currently OnePlus 13. I was completely underwhelmed by the 8 Pro. If felt like a marginal improvement over the OnePlus 8 for a premium price. The back cracked, water got in, and it stopped working. The OnePlus 13 feels like a significantly better phone in every way.
I just got a new phone a month ago. I wanted a Pixel so I could run GrapheneOS. After researching the hardware I ended up with a OnePlus 13. Google's hardware is far behind, buggy, and overpriced.
