With you on that. I think having a workplace is a benefit of having a job. The cognitive load of pretending that you are at work, without any benefits of having a OSHA/legal workplace, is a cost that gets put on the worker. Companies should, at the fucking minimum, provide a stipend if they arent going to provide a workplace. Not to mention the skills that the employee loses by working at home, getting burnt out or over-worked, and then suffer and are paid less when they change jobs.
But.... Burnout happens, since I was a child.
Its why does this have to be a thing now? Did anyone want this? Honestly, I have not heard anyone asking for it before or after it was released. If it's ambiguous, then why is this at top of HN?
I'm wondering, doesn't the concept of temperature change with pressure? For example, homemade fusion reactors operate at low pressures but at a temperature higher than the sun. So, if this circuit is operating at a high pressure, then isn't surrounding room temperature relatively low? At the mechanical level, a substance held between carbon diamond anvils isnt free to change momentum or kinetic energy due to the kinetic impacts of room temperature air, vapor, or plasma.
Second question, do virtual particles have the same Casimir effects in this apparatus, as we would see in low pressure experiments? Could this be explained by the photo electric effect? I mean beaming energy through brain cells until the mouse has brain damage might be a better explanation for sudden loss of mental function.

Interesting, because this trade study could be conducted by an engineer and a manager in a small company and still have starkly different results in the weighing of concerns.
Most of my early career was solo. I recognize the importance of a good team, but as a business you (even non profits and myself solo) have to understand the bottom line for all stakeholders.

So they aren't predicting anything, are relying on manufacturers to self report, already have surprise shortages, and are monitoring and mitigating? These statutory authorities and responsibilities to assure blah blah blah, that doesn't give permission to prepare or ramp up requirements?

This news is stunningly correlated to my lecture this morning from Dr Bailey at Virginia Tech. The man was in Alaska finishing the launch of his sounding rocket for NASA.
The ideal gas law dictates these amazing structures of the solar atmosphere. But.... incredible cosmic magnetic powers influence these structures in the solar atmosphere... That we still can't explain.
Later I hope to discover alien life in the distributions of charged particles and their induced magnet fields... I may need to aquire another degree in the mean time.
