I couldn't care less about if AI was used to develop software, if it does what it is supposed to do, and if it is secure. Bad software can be produced with or without AI, so ultimately it is up to _you_ to vet the software you use if you don't pay anything for it.

I believe that the majority of child bearers are "on program" driven by their biological imperatives. I believe that among the voluntary non-children people (of which I am one) there's plenty of values, goals, hopes and aspirations. In fact, for me, life is so rich that that is why I do not want children.
There's billions of people all over the planet to carry the burden for me. Sure, if we were in an extinction scenario, I might reconsider, but we're far, far from it.
So while I continue to enjoy life and full freedom, I'll let the people who are "on program" deal with the poop and worry for their offspring.
That does not, however, mean I do not have to care about people. If anything, the fact that I do not have children, gives me the opportunity to care _more_ about people in general, than the people who are busy with raising children.

I also expect Facebook, Microsoft, Google, to survive, and buy the good pieces that remains after the bubble popped. They each have income from other areas so are well position to survive the AI bubble.
Pure AI plays are the ones who will be annihilated. The best of the pure AI plays will be acquired by the old guard.

I'm doing the same thing now. Slowly starting to sell off the shares I have, putting the profit in bonds/interest accounts, when the bubble pops, I'll go all-in (phasing it in over a few quarters most likely) and then profit after 1-2 years.

Yep. In the future, only billionaires and politicians shall be allowed private travel. The common man shall be crammed into public transport where he can sweat, sneeze, touch, grab etc. the rest of the common man.
Forcing the public to abandon the comfort of private travel seems right out of the WEF playbook.
This is the way. But what is interesting to contemplate is _why_ smart people try to reinvent religion. I think it reflects their deep need for meaning and immortality. Religion in the naive sense, a bunch of stories, myths and bearded gods, if obviously silly and childish. The modern rationalist who has not managed to shed his reflex/need for religion, then reifies (or perhaps better said... "deifies") information, and thus introduces all kinds of potential immortality and an ideal realm. Just like the myths of religion did, in a more naive sense, since time immemorial.
Wise words. But you must remember that society is a self-perpetuating system, that grows to consume all, like cancer, and for "it" (society) to exist, children must be produced to fuel its growth. Politicians, the sole benefactors of the modern society, therefore scream about children to fuel the machine.
Of course there are kind and loving parents, but you are right in that many (most?) just follow their biological program on autopilot, never thinking about the consequences.
But I do think, at some level, the species is starting to realize how unsustainable this is, and we see this in dropping fertility and child birth levels.
These levels I think, will only start to increase again, once society has adapted to man, instead of like today, when authoritarian politicians try to adapt man, pushing him like a cog wheel into the machinery of the state. Man is now tired, and refuses, and as a result, more and more people just stop procreating, which I see as a sign of health.
Can you prove that? The EU is fully free to decide on laws that hit exclusively US companies if they so want, with the hope of being able to generate revenue.
