As a PoC who has benefited from IRC, I don’t see how they would even know you’re not white unless you tell them yourself. Can you elaborate on your experience?
If you don’t want other humans to remix information you have broadcasted, then don’t broadcast in the first place. It’s not like you haven’t been using other people’s ideas in your “original” work.
org-mode has some spaced repetitions tools (e.g., org-drill). I personally don't recommend SR by flashcards too much. It's better to do it more naturally. For example, read books regularly to learn a language; common words will repeat themselves enough times that they'll effectively be a form of SR.
GPL found a way to utilize an evil law to do some good. What we need is to first scrap the evil law, then pass a FOSS protection act. (Besides, a 10 year copyrighted is so long that GPL would still be mostly enforced.)
It should be Free. People are okay with literally stealing money from corporations in the name of “tax,” yet they balk at making SDKs Free? Platforms should capture some of the economic returns to have good incentives to improve, but the majority should go to users and third-party developers. It should also be possible to release GPL software on any platform. That’s the minimum bar for not screwing over users.
Not at all. The monolithic App Store has been terrible for users. They even impose censorship on social media apps. Having alternative stores by Meta et al is excellent. More choice, more competition, less rentseeking, more innovation.
There is OPT and BLOOM, which need lots of expensive GPUs to run. Not as good as GPT3, IMO. I doubt there will be any good local alternatives in a year. StableDiffusion needed light compute, not at all comparable to these beasts.
