there's a lot of stuff coming in the PHP world, between phpactor that's been there for a while, mago that wants to make a lsp and this that's great having choice. But I'm not sure I'll be able to let go phpstorm even though its bugging me more and more every day it's just too good

Yes you will need SOMETHING since you have to get your thing someway to compile this executable. Just as you'd need frankenphp to compile a single binary just as you that will then not require anything.

It was pretty much a simple "toggle encryption" button, when you pressed it and your friend also had Silence it would ask them if they want to start encryption, you pressed yes and you were encrypted. The only thing was that when you changed phone / reinstalled you would receive the encrypted message and you had to tell your friend to stop and restart the encryption
This reminds me of the good old days before signal, back when it was still called SmsSecure / TextSecure / Silence. This was pretty much the same concept but on top of SMS. I loved it
Go is not a dependency. Go is a compiled language, once you download the frankenphp binary you do not need anything else, whereas you still need php for yours.

Just use frankenphp and be done with it, it runs caddy, doesn't need an external php runtime and also lets you bundle your app as a single executable.
i don't understand the use case for 1x2.5gbs + 1x1gbs for a router. Why not both 2.5gbs it's not like you'll be running lots of stuff on the router itself so it would be more useful to have a wan AND a lan at 2.5 (outside of load balancing for a lot of wifi devices of course)

I do use gotify [1] which seems to be pretty much the same, and does the job quite well. Not sure how they compare, does ntfy goes through Google / Apple network or it's directly connected to your server instance?
