I've worked as an engineer in the Wi-Fi industry.
Here's my advice: stay at least one or, even better, two generations behind the current Wi-Fi standards.
Vendors care about only two things:
(1) Cost
(2) the Gbps they can print on the box.
So today that means 802.11ac and WPA2, unfortunately.

Total BS. The wattage of the charger is not causing this issue.
Even a 300 Watt PD 3.0 USB-C charger still delivers up to 21 Volts at whatever current the phones charger decides it needs.
The phone dictates how much power is consumed. The charger wattage is simply the maximum specified output power.
The article quotes Jake Williams as a former NSA hacker.
He seems pretty flippant that this occured and how good Microsoft did.
Is he impressed with Microsft's key rotation policy?
The key was stolen years ago and was just recently used.
Had it been rotated this would not have occured.
All the money and talent devoted to these AR glasses should be spent on a Siri 2.0 project using the latest large language models like GPT-4.
Apple put neural network processors on its phone for a few years now but I don't see them taking advantage of it.
Siri feels absolutely brain dead compared to other speech recognition and GPT systems. It should be an absolute embarrassment for Tim Cook and all Apple employees.
