kdeconnect seems daemon like enough to me since it's entirely detached from its myriad UIs
Some of the Amazon's voices sound amazing to me, I've actually tested few on them and people couldn't tell they're synthetic. Watson's voices are nice too.
(AFAIK Amazon bought Polish company IVONA for their Polly TTS system, which was long regarded to be one of the best)
This is true, AMD's GPU Linux drivers are open source and in superb shape nowadays (with the exception of freshly released stuff as there's always lag)
I've been runnning linux with AMD cpu/gpu for years, they tend to be late with initial stuff but other than that it's been a smooth sailing.
That being said, it will differ from distro to distro, as some are unreadably slow with driver/firmware updates.
It got updated to newest Chromium version recently, the build process seems to be semi-automated now too.
Isn't it open source too?
Unfortunately it's a bit buggy on some of my devices.
Newest FF beta got unexplained speed bost and tablet UI, it's approaching irreplaceablity steadily for me, There's IceRaven FF fork which has enabled even more addons.
Have you been living under a rock? Do you know what a hackintosh is?
It's been going for so long that ccurrent bootloaders allow to run it completely unmodified, working updates etc.
macOS also runs under some VMs, with some config tweaks
Unfortunately Obsidian cannot replace apps like Agenda or noteplan for me, because it doesn't sync with external calendars. I still use it for most stuff though.
