Because most VC founded companies are not about results. They are about virtue signaling to attract even more capital. Profitability has been thrown out of the window long time ago. Success is measured in the stupidest KPIs you can imagine. That's why 9 out of 10 VC founded companies fail. So you need to indoctrinate your minions to make them act accordingly.

On Android you can use a private DNS service, for example nextdns.io which will block all advertisement on the page for you. I wouldn't be surprised if iOS would have the same option.
Exactly. I feel for you. I am in the same boat. With young kids around I was forced to wake up 2 hours earlier than my circadian rhytm would dictate and it's been a nightmare so far.
I need to compensate each day with even more coffee than normally and my head's just spinning by the end of the day because I am too exhausted.
Since my rhytm cannot be forced to the early waking, on average I only sleep 5 hours each night.
I find it ironic that the author points out in the first part of the post that companies are the real culprit but later puts the blame on governments. I wouldn't do such differentiation. They are equally wrong. Regarding free speech too. Case in point are the recent de-platformings.
I don't know which industry you worked in, but outages in the telecom industry was strictly forbidden and came with severe financial penalties even 10 years ago. And those companies managed to adhere to really strict uptime SLAs even then.

This claim is completely false. As others pointed out the EU applies stricter and stricter emission regulations each year forcing all manufacturers to comply.
Or conversely having a public domain does not give the right to any private enterprise to do business in a sovereign country. I guess that's a pretty solid argument and that's what most people argue for.
This is counterproductive in an English speaking country. There is a few similarly good alternative like Bing for example. In non-English speaking countries though this strategy might work.
I think that's a very strange way of looking at the real estate industry. They don't determine who gets to live where at all. They simply gather and withhold information that they then offer for a fee.
In most situations the same information can (or at least could) be gathered in different ways also, leaving out real estate industry from the loop.
Also just to clarify what I mean: real estate owners =/= real estate industry. They are just part of a bigger picture.

You seem like a control freak and a person who quickly puts down anyone without even considering new thoughts and opposing perspectives. Which can be completely hold against anyone who works as a consultant, because that's a red flag that the person is not cooperative enough.

You mean the cynicism that the nations producing the most waste (UK, US, etc) are not part of the effort? Yes, that's very cynical of those nations indeed.
In our case: 1) slow and long transpilation times, 2) although not that common these days but missing typings used to cause some head scratch 3) overly permissive/overly restrictive type definitions 4) wrongly configured sourcemaps 5) unreadable type definitions/declarations... The list is long but these are off the top of my head
