For those interested in this, I recommend also checking Immersed VR. It's not standalone (you still need a PC somewhere) but it works great. I can not wait until we have devices with better optics!
$83/mo or around $994 annually is crazy way too much for me. I hope them the best because I love that kind of content and want it to be more popular, but I will wait until a better priced option comes.
I'm a user of Immersed (an VR for productivity app) and I use to code frequently.
I wanted QPro to be a success. I expected at least a reasonable bump in resolution. What was released is just disappointing and I can not justify paying that price point. I would go for Pico4 before of QPro.
Why shouldn't people or companies be able to move where they can grow, prosper or have rules according to their values or projects? Curiously, when we talk about taxes the focus is often in the country that is harboring people instead the one that made itself unattractive.
Than can be done with less taxes than the average europeans one. It is also debatable which of the estates attributed roles can't be done better by private companies.
I am really surprised by the HN community. I wasn't expecting people to downvote an user who politely expressed his point of view just because theirs is the opposite.
Congrats. It is a curious plugin. I am not sure if I want to substitute my fzf one, but I found the video interesting. Also, loved a few things about your setup. Do you have a open neovim configuration?
I would love to know how to do it with Linux/Ubuntu. I tried with OBS and always run into a bunch of issues when trying to create something beyond a basic scene.
Before switching to Firefox, I previously used Internet Explorer, which had no tabs support. In an era of frequent pop-ups, your desktop ended being a mess.
It was annoying, but that is what I was used to. Then Firefox came and allowed to have all your browsing in the same window, without polluting the taskbar.
In my case, I clearly remember that tabs were the reason to switch into Firefox.
Thanks for your answer, byoung2. I have been working remotely a similar number of years so I hope I can sort that filter.
Thanks too for the tip as I have not considered it. I did not know about gotomeeting. I am going to install and test after I click the reply button.
I share the "being a remote-first company" screener too and I expect to dodge that "bullet" :). I have the concept of what kind of company I want to join very clear... what really worries me is passing their filters. I have no problem with the initial screening in my country... but this is the first time that I face global competition!
Thanks, cimmanom, this list is definitely helpful. I noticed that you mentioned communication twice! I will work harder on improving my communication skills meanwhile.
I would pay for the learning process. The price would depend on topic depths. If you share the lessons titles I would have no problem in giving numbers.
It seems like the cache link I previously pasted does not allow to click on deeper links on the site. Sorry. At least it helps to have a quick view to the content.
It is nice to see Matrix in HN: this project needs more visibility.
In a world dominated by Slack, which removes privacy/history control from users and place walls, Matrix is the promise to have a better open scenario than IRC was.
I am crossing my fingers. I hope with all my heart to this technology to flourish.
