The conversation in comments seem to devolving in weird ways.
The OP (and others) have right to opinions but I see bunch of projects having successfully received their grants https://floss.fund/projects/2025. OpenSSL and Krita being the prominent ones that I recognize.
Calling the fund dangerous and unethical when they personally have zero control over regulations seems over the top to me.
Similar thing happened to my model3 early on (late 2019) and I had a furious but futile conversation with service centre about how dangerous my situation was. They stonewaled me after “kernel panic, dont know why”.

Luckily there is signal right there so people were slowing down naturally but man the car turning into a brick and not even emergency blinkers (parking lights) working was shitty experience!
I’m fuming that someone paid a price for tesla’s similar failure.
Has been smooth sailing with MBP 16” Intel (2019).
Really loving the extra real estate. Can not imagine going back to plain old 22-24” screens.
Edit: Primarily a backend+devops role. so refresh rate or pixels don't really matter. Being able to have multi tabs open on IntelliJ is real win for dev work. (Called split tab in jetbrains world)
IIRC old telephone lines used to work without electricity not sure if they’re alluding to that. I don’t know how much the modern cellphone infra is grid dependent.
Probably because it still earns them money over not showing you anything!
I have come to believe that over a period of time producers and consumers both will realise that the middleman cares more about it’s own cut over either of them.
Less cynical thoughts;
1. I don’t know if and what kind of controls/flexibility YouTube allows on demand side, but it could be a “foot meet gun” story. ie advertiser is new to platform and messed up targeting and/or is over-bidding.
2. Advertiser might think 1 cent CPM is worth it, no one else bothers to bid on your data (based on your description) - still kinda ties into cynical view.
Thank you for linking this, I noticed this in every apartment I lived in Germany and was wondering what is it called. The door frame had rubber/plastic dampener that would literally create a vaccum like effect when closing (i.e the room door would slam if I closed the balcony door).
They really made a difference in terms of inside temperature.
Also the ability to tilt windows and even doors (vertically) was an amazing feature.
