Try gandi.net. They offer free whois privacy with registration and their prices on .io domains are VERY good. One thing you will have to do is let your credit card company know about the transaction as the charge will come from France and will be flagged as fraudulent (at least that was my experience with AMEX).
I think a lot of people who are interested in these streaming devices have separate component for their AV stack and would rather use their setup rather than the 25W amp in the Q. The other set of consumers would most likely hook the Q up directly to their TVs. The only use case where I would find the integrated amp useful would be in an office, kitchen, or some place similar.
My personal gmail service is down too; however, my Google Apps gmail is fine. Not too concerned though. Gmail has been very solid for me throughout the years.
I strongly think Google, Facebook, Wikipedia, and Amazon (not AWS) should all proceed with the nuclear option on the 18th, even though congress has temporarily shelved SOPA. The reality of the situation is that very few people outside of the tech community have any idea about SOPA and PIPA and how it jeopardizes the Internet.
