I think there is a market for quick programming tasks. A small very welldefined task like putting up a jqueryUI stylesheet according to some specification, would fall into such a category.Of course, the problem with programming is the iteration required.
why are you calling "User retention" ? Isnt customer loyalty a better ,more commonly used moniker? this is just another attempt to carve a new market segment,by changing the name.
If you mean, trying to convert customers, who have not completed the signup, then "Lead conversion" is a better name.
Different possible Zendesk(ZD) responses and their outcomes :
- Keep quiet and wishing this episode to go away
In my opinion ,this is not the best option. At some point ZD would have to come back with a response, atleast to their customers. Not responding keeps Freshdesk(FD) in driving the discourse and makes ZD look timid.
- CEO should make a short tweet ( & no more) ,IMMEDIATELY.It should say " Still stand by my ripoff comment.IMHO ,a crappy ripoff. " . this will prevent this issue from becoming any more sensational and will stop adding fuel to the issue . ZD CEO should stick to his ground by saying that FD IS A RIPOFF
The ZD CEO made a subjective, nasty comment about a competitor's product - this happens all the time.
ZD DID NOT make any of the nasty comments like "indian cowboys" etc. Ben keepes and the personal comment by ZD is the only connection with ZD. FD is trying to make ZD look guilty by association.
- Next they should go on the offensive by targeting FD customers and prove that FD is indeed crappy. eg FD customers will get 6 months free.
Meditation is a very personal ,inner endeavour. As Shunryu Suzuki says, the moment you see a Buddha, you should kill him.(ie you are the only Buddha you should look up to).
Iam not sure how tools like brainbot can really help in a personal journey.
this is a comment attributed to HG Khorana ( not sure how true it is ).
While addressing a gathering in India, he said "Indians need to work hard, but they hardly work !!".
I believe the cult of Jobs at some point will just dissipate on its own. already i sense a fatigue in the Jobs story, with books, flood of articles, documentaries etc . The Michael Jackson story also went through the same phases.
not a good idea. To gift my friend, iam paying a cut to giftrocket and also forcing my friend to pay at the selected location.
why not just send the paypal gift to my friend directly and let him/her pay wherever he/she wants to ? Just send ur preferred location along with your gift email .
This model would make sense if businesses pay a cut to giftrocket and not the end customer, giftrocket has to then signup businesses one by one - not an easy thing to do.
so what if Karp is a nice guy?
it is not about whether he is nice guy or not,but how customers (free & paying) are treated.
Are you saying that since millions of customers are getting a free service ("five MILLION visitors every single day, almost none of whom pay a dime.") and so should expect a lower level of service ?
it clearly shows the frustration on Karp's part and that he is not able to handle the pressures.
