Not convinced you’ve even been following British politics then. The main criticism coming from Starmer is about late decision making and inaction. I haven’t heard anything about abuse of powers or a clamour to reopen from them.
I've never had an issue with pocketability even with the largest phones on the market. I don't really understand the problem. Do you have really tiny pockets?
In my opinion it is a mistake to thinks that to compete with China we need to become China. It would benefit us greatly in the long run to figure out and fix whatever problems in the market are preventing more companies from competing in this space.

Only because none of the messaging apps have implemented it yet. As someone who uses their phone for messaging 70% of the time, I actually missed it from Android and am happy to see it come to iOS.
