You will not get rich as an employee for anybody, not even a start-up. Look at today's average $30m exit for YC start-ups .. that's awesome for Paul, the first VC, and the founders. The employees will all get paid less than if they had just taken the job at Google, Facebook, or Zynga. The real money isn't in tech, it's in finance.
