Good question I think. Norman Borlaug was known for transforming places with food importers into food exporters. And to ask the question again occasionally makes sense. In recent history we are exploring the idea of vertical gardening etc. I was joking to someone once that we should grow watermelons vertically so that the large heavy melons could power a carousel style escalator or water pumping mechanism.
I was wondering too, if maybe under the right conditions, humidity sensors could trigger polarization of the glass surface followed by opposite polarization could potentially rid the surface of at least some of the dust. Some ionizing devices even produce a 'wind' of sorts.
I wonder if there is a common substance that could be scanned for historical interactions - like some salt flats.. that might preserve, like film, a history of energetic anomalies.
Eventually medical science is going to arrive at methods that have potential to cure/create disease, novel organisms, synthetic organisms, etc. I don't think we want these methods pursued in a geopolitical vacuum either - like an arms race. It is inevitable and the only way to improve our collective chances of survival will be to co develop building codes, quarantine strategy, and agile attitudes to respond in time.
It doesn't have a linux version, so unless you're a gamer it's not worth the effort to get it running unless something has changed... Last time I found it easier to just download the UE5 source to mess around with it. Afterwards, it seems like I needed the Epic client for other reasons. I'm guessing there could be legitimate barriers although it's been a long time for me. Currently I'm downloading the new UE5 source again and take another stab at getting the Epic client running.
I'm still reading this recent bulletin article about tDCS - turning that journalist into a sharpshooter and after seeing this: "She said those people have this overactive angry cortex guy just sitting there. When you apply the electric field, it shuts him right up and those people find that their depressive symptoms are alleviated." definitely want to look further into consumer tDCS devices. There was a trimmer potentiometer one could adjust until errors would occur and then turn back just a little that would result in a speed increase. It may have been the motor speed I can't remember.
Not to be a GNU/Linux instigator but I remember when I first read the GPL how strange it was to have a legal document to give something away it seemed like a impish prank - will someone take it and insist you stop giving it away, or sue you when their production line breaks down.. And then the flamewars began, the pronunciation, the toolchain, freetards, 'open sores', etc. but it was the GPL making it all possible.
