1492 is the default frame size set by unifi on wan pppoe. You neither need to know such esoteric details nor need to set them.

That behavior has changed a lot in the past decade. Apple actually documents their roaming thresholds.
The signal has to drop below -70dbm for ios and -75 dbm for macos for the devices to consider roaming. Additionally, the difference between the two AP has to be 8db for ios and 12 db for macos.
IMHO, these are good defaults. Apple devices are optimizing for stability over the “best” possible signal.
What you might consider awful signal difference between the two APs might not be. (e.g. a mac device at -75dbm need to find another AP with -63dbm or better.)
Apple has handled its response, including the proposed App Store changes, to the EU's DMA with aplomb despite the law being an assault on Apple's brand promise.
Most of the companies that are complaining fall into two categories:
# Small companies who did not exist before iPhone and / or will not thrive if an open platform like AppStore goes away
# Large companies with their own agenda to push their own platforms (almost always worse for consumer from privacy platforms)
I have no issue with big companies like Google, Spotify, Epic battling Apple but how suddenly so many common users have become open critics of Apple when they have dog in the fight is a victory of PR of those companies.

Apple allows a Parent / Guardian account to reset the password of a child account. I do not have to do anything. I can just go into my iCloud settings and just reset my child’s account right away. Also, Apple does not allow you to create a child account (below 13) without having a parent account attached to it.
My guess is that you lied during account creation and created an adult account for your child and then you handed that account password and the reset mechanism to your child and he /she lost BOTH of them. In which case, Apple should still help you but I would say - you are more at fault here than Apple

I was living in DC area but was traveling to Bay Area every week (mon to fri) for work.
I always booked fare in reverse with Friday evening departure (from sfo) and Monday morning ( from DCA) return. A Saturday night “stay” apparently made it a leisure fare which was way cheaper than Monday to Friday fare which was way more expensive. (Like 4x more). [ this was United Airlines btw].
My understanding is that this does not work anymore (at least for US domestic). Airfare are all priced for one way (return fare is just the sum of two legs).

1. The biggest issue is what constitutes a "common enterprise"? Most federal courts (but not all) have defined it as a horizontal structure where assets are pooled. 2. It's not trivial to prove that profit for a given crypto token comes from the "efforts of the promoter or third party." Who even is the promoter of a distributed token? What identifiable third party's efforts is the profit in the crypto sale even dependent on?
3. Finally, is there always an expectation of profit? How is buying a vanity NFT different from purchasing a vanity domain that I do not use? What about a vanity NFT avatar I want to show off on Twitter / Reddit / Telegram?
It's a complex case with lots of nuances. Whichever way courts rule - it will set new precedents.
What we have here is different from the allegations that the SEC has made against other crypto entities, which were mostly about mixing consumers' assets, insider trading, improper disclosures during promotions or even straight-up money laundering.

in US - and specially for federal crimes - its very routine for the courts to give some time for the person to report to prison.
This allows the person sentenced to get their affairs in order.
I know somebody who is sentenced for 10 years. The court gave him 2 months which actually is not enough for all the items he need to wrap up. To give an idea, this person needs to:
- sell his house (who will pay the mortgage now that he is in prison)
- sell his car
- donate / get rid of his clothes and most of his belongings (or leave them in care of family / storage)
- cancel all the subscriptions and utilities
- take care of any medical needs
- inform all the people who might reach out to him so they can communicate with him
- more…
On the correction system side, they also need time to figure out where to send this person and create the space there:
- If the person sentenced has any medical needs they will ask for a “medical” facility (connected to a hospital) and usually nicer.
- the person sentenced might request a correction facility that is closer to his loved ones (the guy I know requested and going to a facility in Texas even though he lives in Florida as his closest relative is his sister who lives near that facility)
- other factors include doing tests / analysis to figure out should the person go to level 1 security (minimum) or something higher; is the person considered a risk to other inmates? are other inmates considered a risk to this person (common for cops, sexual offenders etc)
Of course, if the person is considered a flight risk or violence risk - they will just send him/her to the nearest county jail and then figure out the rest.
Overall, a lot of logistics and consideration is given to an inmate - specially in a federal system.
This is not a problem anymore. I visit about 4+ countries every year (hello IMF / World Bank contracts) and have done 43 countries in last 6 years (on Google Fi, T-mobile and Indian Jio).
T-mobile includes 5GB / month of full speed international roaming in virtually any country in the world. (15 GB for $50 after it).
Getting a new local e-sim does not scale when you visit multiple countries or area in a jurisdiction which requires ton of documentation (including a local address or contact they can verify). Even then, it’s complicated.
For example, just this year I learnt that a local Indian e-sim (pre-paid) will not work in state of Kashmir in India or parts of Xinjiang in China.
This (and similar issues) is the main reason that I donate a non-trivial (10%) part of my earnings to ACLU (and 2 other) organization.
