The data is wildly incomplete http://www.ohloh.net/. They only include perl modules EXTERNALLY hosted to CPAN. They don't include any ruby gems hosted at Ruby. So Python looks huge because it doesn't have any sort of organized centralized repository that people use, same with PHP.
Bad metrics, bad conclusions, bad methodology, bad whitepaper, bad article.
CATO zombies get out. If you think about systemic effects then it is obvious that libertarianism is a terrible idea. Capitalism works based on the rule of the law and you libertarians can't seem to understand that in order to have the rule of law you need a subsidized court system in order to the make the law and you need laws which regulate how people operate at an economic level. Oh but did you not read that far? Too bad.
The guy programs in Ruby and says you don't need college. I see this a lot of Ruby people. They seem to hate all forms of education. It is like they couldn't take it so they have to rally against it. I'm not sure why it is mostly rubyists who seem to say this, maybe ruby was the easiest thing to get into when you just can't cut classroom learning.
Yes because psychology was built upon self administered tests. The idea that a person is competent enough to even understand the test is in question. Either way you get what you pay for.
Just because you lack the ability to understand economics, systemic effects, human nature, sociology, business, doesn't mean you opinion on a "simpler" system is really valid.
People side with libertarianism because it sounds good, but haven't reasoned through the side effects. If you thought for just 15 minutes on what people would under libertarianism would do, you'd realize it just won't work.
