As an UP user, I think Jawbone make it pretty obvious when using their app that you're sending data up to a server, and as others have pointed out, the EULA explains that this data can be used elsewhere.
I once did "outside of Cupertino" training. The best bit was the pens & notebooks with subtle Apple emblemising on them. It made me much cooler with peers when I did my masters.
I have a friend in a similar situation (eerily similar). Apple moved him to Vancouver to reside until they can get a visa for the US, but in the meantime more & more employees are being 'stationed' in Canada, which opens up the opportunity to simply setup a facility there instead of hustling the US system.
Canada has been a regular "holding pattern" location for Europeans trying to get to the US. It's about time Canadian authorities realised they could exploit this for their own economic gain.
Yup. People who preordered (like myself) want to play this. The DRM is restrictive and sucks, but I was hoping EA learned from Blizzard in this instance.
If you just don't buy it, EA will assume everyone pirated the game and cancel any future SimCity games... then we end up stuck in a DRM-filled loop forever. Requesting a refund is far more productive from a feedback perspective.
