For cutting the cord, there is another source of content that most people ignore completely: digital broadcast TV. The quality is superb and in major metro areas there are tons of channels. In the San Francisco bay area, I get 67 channels and all the major networks. The trick is to use a box that can do both OTT and OTA. This is where a Media PC really shines. Here is the one I built:
