Hi Hacker News! OP here. We are a few biohackers/synthetic biologists from MIT and UCSC. We are launching a Synthetic Biology course, where our goal is to prepare those who want to pursue synbio projects all the skills and tools necessary to realize their vision.
We are offering an early-bird discount for the online course. If you have any questions please reach out to [email protected]
Thanks @robbiemitchell for appreciating my work. I put many hours and a lot of effort to make this project happen, and as a student, need a way to support myself so I can continue to grow it. So @untog, it is a little offensive when you just ask contributors to give out their work for free.
A friend and I are experienced full-stack web developers starting a company in the legal technology space. We'd be really interested in speaking with you, are you free sometime this week?
Go to the US for an extended vacation (month or so), interview with as many companies as you can, and find one that will sponsor an H1-B visa. It'll be hard, but it's worth it.
Thanks! Follow-up question: between laptop and tablet, which one do you use most?
I am just intrigued about this whole "tablets replacing desktops" thing, and I am trying to get a sense of what other people use.
For developers like me (and you?), a tablet could never replace a powerful computer. But for average users, the tables can do most of what a desktop does (email, netflix, facebook, etc.)
Thanks! So you think that desktop sales are just slower because people don't replace desktops as often as they replace smartphones? Just trying to better understand your argument.
Oh, really? Open aggregation of highlighted text? On the one hand it could be cool to compare what I find relevant to what others find find relevant. But on the other hand, can't it get too cluttered and distracting?
