Once I didn't have any USB sticks handy and didn't know about DriveDroid, so I used Servers Ultimate to host a TFTP server so I could PXE boot the netboot.xzy image from my phone to my laptop then download+install Arch Linux.
Urban Dictionary is generally pretty good when a word/term isn't defined in a more general dictionary, though in some cases what you're looking for might not be the first entry.
Might anyone know of a web/*nix alternative that has the Winamp Media Library like functionality, i.e. enqueuing? That was, to me, the killer feature from "later" versions of Winamp.
Mixxx can mix modules, though needs to be compiled with modplug=1 in the scons arguments. AUR mixxx-git and Fedora RPM Fusion packages at least have that enabled.
I set this up recently (the 'Play with MPV' method) after noting that viewing YouTube in the browser had a far greater CPU usage than watching the same in mpv.
I've also given gtk-youtube-viewer a spin but it doesn't do "new videos of your subscriptions" (though it's command=line equivalent 'youtube-viewer -SV' does). Any recommendations out there for similar YouTube frontends?
Also, at least in the UK, youtube-dl can access BBC iPlayer content without the login required on the web.
Alternatively, Bitwig runs natively, though costs. It's about the only native software that does the clip launching style of production/performance well.
