OP is saying that much rain got into a reservoir that sits on top of an ancient volcanic caldera and has no rivers flowing into? Unexpectedly? and they didn’t think to stop pumping water in from the South Branch or release some water?
Just to be clear that animagraff is showing specifically how a 4cycle gasoline-powered reciprocating engine works. Diesel engines account for roughly 50% of automotive vehicles in the world.
"...so that means firing off a kilogram (or so) of self-replicating molecular nanotechnology which can build the infrastructure you'd want to live in (compute on) at the destination."
i just got a chill thinking we are living that exact thing in this simulation O_O
"Salary can't and shouldn't be compared accross the globe."
I disagree. If the hiring company is looking for the best candidates in the world, then they must be prepared to shell out comparable 'global' salaries.
Unless a 500kg pallet of sugar falls on a person, I don't believe sugar has ever killed a single human. I know that people die from complications arising from diabetes. A quick google search shows that Saudi Arabia has the highest incidents of Diabetes of any country, more than double USA but they are not even in the top 10 sugar consumers. So, why is that? When did their diabetes problems 'start'?
I've been working with http://www.snapcircuits.net/ Snap Circuits with my kids since they were 4years old. The lessons they learned there are used to this date and i think invaluable, especially now that they are trying to get things to move and light up using an arduino. I recommend checking out their kits, they can be used all the way up to HS level, heck I still like using them and showing them off to other parents.
1. Launch one profitable product
2. Finish my Arduino ultimate machine
3. Launch one new passive income source
4. Sleep better
5. More family time
6. Learn d3.js
2014 I struck out on all fronts
